3DS Research Notes:

So I've been researching the limitations and the capabilities of the 3DS line's web browser, I decided to use my Nintendo *NEW* 3DS for this one, as it is able to play videos as well as give me the most RAM and CPU. And Luckily this website worked without any real issues... here's what I learned so far.

Video Research

I have learned that the 3DS web browser can do buffered and unbuffered video playback. The best Dimensions are 640x480 pixals wide and then long, But I also had luck with 640x360 pixal videos. 480p (640x480 pixals) seems to be the sweet spot for videos with less motion then normal. However, if you want something with a bit more action, You might want 360p. This also seems to fill the screen because it's a widescreen resolution. And for the bitrate, I decided to go with 1500kbps at first, i shruunk it down over time, But all test files worked. Albeit some more then others.

Picture Research

I alao tested how many images the 3DS can display at once. I tested it using 28 images that all have a 640x480 Resolution. They all displayed with no issues at all. I also dupicated the web pages image tags to over 200 and it also displayed them all. So as long as the same 28 images are still the same, You could theoritically display hundreds or thousands of images on the same page... It'll just load the same 28 images and display them until it cannot anymore.

Console Research

I noticed that the 3DS couldn't display google search home page, For some reason Google either gives a error or just says to perform a browser update. I can't update the web browser, So there's that gone. I also tried to use YouTube, But if I remember correctly, The images on the page itself was too much for it. YouTube Home Page also didn't take much on the web browser. But when I found a video on by searching through the built in google search function, That, as a stated before, Did not work. It tried for dear life, Though!
